About Us
The Energy Transition Platform (ETP) brings together a cohort of sustainable energy practitioners across the countries of South Asia. ETP is a multi-country platform that brings together energy practitioners and select CSOs working on energy for the countries of South Asia- Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka. The ETP Secretariat is housed in Vasudha Foundation and is funded by the Heinrich Boll Stiftung, South Asia Office.
The objective of this project is to scale up the pace of energy transition across all countries of South Asia through a data driven approach and analysis. The Platform aims at bringing together data, information, policies and trends of key indicators of energy transition across South Asia for informed discussions with policy makers on energy transition and also act as a platform to promote best practices in any South Asian country for replicating or adapting in other countries of the region.
Since its inception in 2018, ETP has been tracking energy transitions in these countries through a comprehensive repository of information on energy scenarios across the countries. In 2025, ETP’s work aims to enhance engagement with the policymakers and private sector to further the agenda on energy transition in the South Asian region. In lieu of this we are conducting interviews of private sector players and policymakers to get their views significant potential for cross-border investments, technology transfer, and regional collaboration in South Asia.
